Hi! I’m Kirsten…

I have been a portrait photographer since 1993. I am based in Western Massachusetts, where I live with my two children, my pup, and three cats. I love to incorporate the natural beauty that we have here in rural New England into my work – from the beautiful flowery Springs,colorful Autumns, snow in Winter and plenty of beautiful lakes in the Summer. Having been raised in a family day care, I’ve been around babies, children, and pets my entire life. I can relate to children such that parents can relax knowing that they will be getting great photographs, and have a fun and stress-free experience. I can work with you and your family to capture your special moments. Especially when shooting outdoors, my signature style is to use natural light and a wide open aperture to create a dream-like effect in the background of each photograph. Equally important to my style is my sense of humor… Instead of overly ‘posed’ photographs, I encourage the freedom of movement where we can let our personalities shine through. I also have unlimited tricks up my sleeve to get the perfect expressions…. I may meet a couple to capture their pregnancy, see them again to create beautiful images of their newborn, a family photo for the holidays, their next pregnancy, and so on… I love watching my client’s families grow, and I feel privileged to be able to have shared experiences with them over the years… I have a lot of repeat clients but I always make room for new ones! Please check out my Facebook page and the rest of my site for more examples of my work.
